Chisinau hosted training for managers and beneficiaries of the program “Community-led Urban Strategies in Historic Towns”

On 11 and 12 May, 2016 in the framework of the “Community-led Urban Strategies in Historic Towns” (COMUS), Chisinau (Moldova) hosted the second training for the leaders of the program of pilot citiescoordinators and team members of local beneficiaries formed in the communities. The training was attended by national coordinators and program managers from Armenia, Belarus, Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia.The training was conducted by representatives of the Council of Europe. The Armenian participant at the training program COMUS were: national coordinator, chief specialist of the cultural heritage and crafts of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia Gohar Grigoryan;program managers from the cities of Gyumri and Goris Hovhannes Sahakyan and Hayarpi Avanesyan; representative of the Yerevan Office of the Council of Europe, responsible for the program COMUS Sarhat Petrosyan;coordinator of the group of local beneficiaries of Gyumri Anna Martirosyan; a member of the local beneficiaries, expert Ashot Mirzoyan; coordinator of the group of local beneficiaries of the town of Goris Susanna Shahnazaryan and member of the local beneficiaries, the chief architect of the city of Goris Garegin Parsyan.

The agenda of the training included issues related to the preparation of documents required for pilot cities, a clear definition of the functions assigned to offices and members of the local groups of beneficiaries, as well as the involvement of the relevant partners and organizations targeted discussions.Training will continue on May 12, in the pilot city Soroka /Moldova/, where they discussed issues of financing and operational phase of the action plan of the program «COMUS» (May, December 2016).In the framework of the training there were organizedinteractive discussion and individual round tables, the purpose of which was to work out work out the further course of the program based on the most famous models of European training. At the end of the training further steps and plan of actionnecessary for the implementation of the program were identified.
