Judicial Inspection capacities further enhanced in line with European practices

38 members of the High Inspector of Justice in Albania enhanced their capacities on thematic inspections combining the best European and international experiences. Steered by Marjorie Obadia and Jean-louis Daumas, inspectors of the High Justice Inspectorate of France, the training module was the third of the series of trainings on European judicial inspection practices delivered in cooperation with the European Network of Justice Inspectors (RESIJ), and with the support of the European Union and the Council of Europe action on Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV).

The training, which continues on 2 June as well,  was combined with the visit in Tirana of the President of RESIJ and Chief of the Inspection Service of France, Christophe Straudo. The later had fruitful discussions with the High Inspector of Justice of Albania, Artur Metani, on common challenges to ensure that judges and prosecutors uphold high professional standards in delivering justice.

Additional meetings were organised with the Minister of Justice, the National Assembly, the High Judicial Council, the High Prosecutorial Council, the School of Magistrates, and the Supreme Court.

The activity was organised in the frame of the action Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV), under the initiative of the Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye 2023-2026.
