In support of enhancing transparency of the justice system and ensuring better communication of the court with public and the media, High Judicial Council of Albania and 16 newly appointed press judges participated in a workshop to discuss communication tools and strategies with media and the public on 30 March 2023.

During the event organised in the framework of EU/CoE joint SEJ-IV action the CEPEJ experts presented the CEPEJ Guide on communication with the media and the public for courts and prosecuting authorities, as well as the Slovenian experience in ensuring an effective communication with the public through a simplified language and innovative tools. Specific session on experience of judicial communication in Albania and brainstorming session on standard media requests and ways to approach them (content, tone, timing) took place in the framework of the workshop.

The activity was organized by the Action “Strengthening the Quality and Efficiency of Justice in Albania (SEJ IV)" in the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe joint programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Türkiye” (Horizontal Facility III), co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
