A workshop for children aiming to explain to them the importance of countering hate speech, racism, and discrimination, will be held on Friday, 23 September, 2022, from 10.00 to 12.30, at the Primary School “Radoje Domanović“, Generala Milojka Lešjanina 49a, Niš.

Within this event, that is a part of the joint European Union and Council of Europe campaign "Block the hatred. Share the love!” for Serbia, educational and artistic workshops will be organised in order to bring closer to the children the importance of understanding of negative effects of hate speech and fight against hate speech.

The following speakers will address the audience:

• Dušica Tričković, School principal, Primary School “Radoje Domanović“ in Niš
• Tobias Flessenkemper, Head of Office, Council of Europe Office in Belgrade
• Branislav Ranđelović, Director, Institute for Education Quality and Evaluation
• Milena Radulović, Actress, No Hate Speech Ambassador
• Slaven Došlo, Actor, No Hate Speech Ambassador

Also, Young ambassadors of the campaign will join the event:

• Andrijana Nikitović, Young European Ambassador
• Teodora Cekić, Young European Ambassador
• Anđa Stanojković, Young European Ambassador

The campaign "Block the Hatred. Share the love!” aims to combat various forms of hate speech directed at certain groups and individuals in Serbia. Activities under the campaign engage prominent public figures, institutions, and activists, who seek to promote diversity and equality in Serbia and the region through personal experiences, testimonies and exchange of good practices.

The campaign is being implemented within the action "Promoting diversity and equality in Serbia", in co-operation with the action “Quality education for all” that are part of the joint programme of the European Union and the Council of Europe "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022".
