On 04 November 2020, a conference-debate will kick-off a series of 4 thematic discussions related to quality inclusive education taking place in Bucharest, Romania, with coverage by one of the main media broadcasters in the country. The conference’s main theme will tackle topics related to access to quality inclusive education.
Just two days before the start of the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections, the event will gather representatives of the main political parties (PNL, PSD, USR / PLUS, PMP, PRO ROMANIA, UDMR) which will propose solutions for a modern education which will be adapted to the labor market, and an education that offers equal opportunities to all students. The event aims to establish a common set of priorities and values on the part of political parties, to be reflected in immediate government action.
To stimulate constructive debate, actors relevant for the education area will also be participating: the Foundation for Community Development Agency "Together", the European Commission Representation in Romania, INSCHOOL -the joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe, the University of Bucharest and the Presidential Administration.
The conference will be moderated by Digi24 journalist Claudiu Pândaru. It will initiate a series of activities organized under the auspices of the "Educated Romania" Project with the support of UNICEF. The subsequent four debates will take place on 11 November, 18 November, 25 November and 2 December and will discuss topics such as "quality early education for all", "vocational and technical education, "access, participation and quality of tertiary education in Romania" and "A school for all? About equity in education”.
