The EU and the Council of Europe will continue to support reforms in the Western Balkans and Turkey in the fields of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. The continuation of the joint ‘Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey’ programme was announced at a regional conference that took place in Skopje, North Macedonia, on 9 October 2019.
