Brief description of the practice: Plan International has organised an awareness-raising campaign entitled ‘Girls take over’, which addressed gender equality issues in different sectors. Together with the Belgian Football Association they also organised “Girls take over at the Belgian FA” and made a video about it to raise awareness around gender equality in leadership in sport federations. For one day, a girl became CEO of the Belgian FA. She organised a meeting with the board of directors around women’s leadership and she met with the head coach of the national team, focusing on the lack of women in leadership roles in sport federations.
