In this section of the Visible Value, you may find the real treasure from the field of recognition of youth work. This is a well-selected collection of the recognition tools and practices that have been developed all over Europe.

We hope it will inspire you to develop your own or at least to imagine what the recognition might look like in very practical terms. Our intention is that this collection is regularly updated. So, if you are aware of other tools and practices that deserve to be included, please, let us know. In the meantime, enjoy the current collection.

Back YOCOMO Self-assessment tool

Assess your youth work competences and plan your development!

Short description:

YOCOMO Self-assessment tool is a web-based tool that has been created to support youth worker’s competence assessment based on the ETS competence model for youth workers.
The tool allows the user to assess own competences in all competence areas of the model or just in the selected ones by the user. The results are displayed in form of graph showing the current competence level in each area of the model. These results could be used as a basis for planning own development for youth workers or as needs assessment for trainers designing courses for youth workers.

The webpage contains also the ‘Knowledge base’ with several articles about the conceptual and theoretical base of the model, as well as the section “Updated model” aimed at following the developments and updates of the ETS competence model for youth workers.
