The EKCYP expert database

What is it ?

The EKCYP expert database allows experts in youth matters to place their own portfolios setting out their expertise and make them widely available. This database intends, amongst other things, to support the network building between youth practitioners, policy-makers and researchers. The expert database contributes to the development of a European area of youth knowledge, in accordance with the overall mission of the EKCYP.

A few words about myself
I completed my MA in Public Administration in 2002 with original research focused on the Administrative Models of the Great Municipality, dealing with the Formation and Operation of Decision-Making and Administrative Bodies in Turkey. I also conducted several studies as an advisor to Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality on internationalization and to President of Union of the Mediterranean Municipalities related to participation mechanisms, active citizenship and urbanization. I have since concentrated on work in the field of European Union Education and Youth Programs, and have become a trainer at the European level. I have participated in courses including Training for Active Trainers in Euromed Youth Work (TATEM 2004-2006), a long-term training course organized by the Youth Partnership (CoE and EC). I have been a coordinator, coordinator trainer and senior trainer for SALTO Youth – Euromed Resource Centre and Good Practices. Since 2007 I have had an important role in the EUROMED YOUTH III Program as a Short Term Expert in the Regional Capacity Building and Support Unit. I have served to empower NGO’s and active youth participation in support of the Syrian and Turkish Euromed Youth Unit. I have joined Abdullah Gül University in 2013 where I have been the director of a unique structure in Turkey “Youth Factory” dealing with youth work and institutional coordinator of Erasmus + Programme.
