A few words about myself
I am a qualified community youth work having spent some 15 years in practice. My practice has focused on young people at risk, young people in care, young offenders and young men in the community. I have considerable experience of supporting youth providers to develop behavioral approaches to their work and integrate robust evaluation mechanisms into practice. I have experience in the replication of evidence based models and have written on the challenges associated with model fidelity within youth services. I am currently a full time researcher working on several studies related to trauma exposure. I have held several public appointments including a ministry of justice appointment to monitor prison regimes in one adult prison and one young offender's prison in Northern Ireland. I have experience of supporting EU projects, most recently working with colleagues in the European Commission in the delivery of priorities related to gender, violence, and care.
