Presidency of Council of Ministers - Department of Youth and National Civic Service
A few words about myself
I’m an Italian government official expert in social policies, in particular in youth policies that I follow mainly at an international level. In fact, I actually work at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department of Youth and National Civic Service where I’m directly involved in the international affairs.
I have been always interested in working in the field of international affairs since my adolescence; this is the main reason why I studied Political Sciences with an international focus at the University.
After a short experience in the vocational training field I worked from 1995 to 1999 as a researcher at ISFOL – Institute for the Development of Professional Worker Training, in charge of technical assistance to projects for the social and labour market reintegration of young school drop-outs.
Since 2001, after a short experience at ISTAT - National Statistics Institute, I have been working in the Public Administration as an officer in charge of different social policies (drug prevention, families, immigration, human rights and youth).
Thanks to my personal interest and my researcher background I have been often involved also in the data collection, analysis, monitoring and planning of youth policies. In that context since 2008 I have been member of the “European Knowledge Centre for Youth Policy” and the national delegate to the EC “Expert Group for the dashboard of indicators for the youth policies” (since its institution).
In the youth field my main areas of interest are participation, health and well being, employment and the recognition of non formal education.
