Representatives from Kosovo* attend the 4th Conference on Plagiarism Across Europe and Beyond

8-11 May 2018, the 4th Conference Plagiarism Across Europe and Beyond 2018 took place in Ephesus, Turkey. The event was organised by Cannakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Mendel University in Brno and the European Network for Academic Integrity (ENAI). The conference was an excellent opportunity for information sharing, networking and meeting academics from all over the world working on academic integrity. NGO representatives and various plagiarism detecting software companies were also represented. Rectors and Vice-Rectors of public universities in Kosovo as well as two Ministry of Education officials took part in the event where two University representatives presented papers on the topic of academic integrity and challenges faced by the academia with publications in credible scientific journals and plagiarism specifically.

Moreover, four representatives of the delegation were invited to take part in a panel discussion on the challenges pertaining to academic integrity in Kosovo’s higher education system and to also explore potential solutions to addressing academic misconduct. Finally, the University of Peja/Pec “Haxhi Zeka” and University of Gjilan/Gnjlane “Kadri Zeka” became full members of the ENAI.

The participation of the delegation was supported by the European Union and Council of Europe Horizontal Facility action “Strengthen Integrity and Combat Corruption in Education”.
