The closing conference will be followed by an in-person discussion panel on Career pathways for persons with disabilities in sport in collaboration with the PACE Parliamentary Alliance for Good Governance and Integrity in Sport (13:00 — 14:00) and the blind football demonstration (14:00 — 15:00) on Wednesday 24 June at the Palais de l'Europe, Strasbourg, France.

Project background

"Sport For All: Promoting Inclusion and Combating Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities" is a joint European Union — Council of Europe project, implemented from 1 March 2025 to 31 August 2026. The project builds on ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive sports culture by addressing the barriers to the participation of persons with disabilities in sport and by fostering a safe and welcoming sports environments for all.
Objectives
The closing event will bring together athletes, sports practitioners, policy-makers, and national focal points of the joint project "Sport For All". The results of the needs assessment exercise across 8 participating countries (Armenia, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Portugal, Serbia, Türkiye, and Ukraine) will be presented, as well as the outcomes of two training workshops for sport professionals, national-level good practice examples, and an educational toolkit for improving inclusion of persons with disabilities in sport.
