Stekeholders Coordination Meeting

 A coordination meeting with stakeholders was organised in the framework of the ROMACTED Programme on 25 October in the premises of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy in Skopje.The purpose of the meeting was to bring together international organisations, embassies, Roma Non-Governmental Organisations and relevant ministries to share project-related information/activities and challenges which have been faced during the implementation process.

The meeting was hosted and chaired by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy. The opening remarks of the meeting were delivered by Mr Nicola Bertolini - Head of Operation at the European Union Delegation Skopje, and Ms Monica Martinez - Head of Operation at the Council of Europe Programme Office in Skopje. The meeting was moderated by Ms Mabera Kamberi - Head of the Sector for Coordination and Technical Assistance to the Minister of Labor and Social Policy.

The following stakeholders participated at the meeting:

Representatives from the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Cabinet of the Ministry Without Portfolio - Mr Aksel Ahmedovski, Delegation of the European Union to the "former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia", Council of Europe Programme Office in Skopje, OSCE Mission to Skopje, UNDP, International Organization for Migration - Skopje, Open Society Foundation in Skopje, European Policy Institute Skopje, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH - Skopje, Romalitico, InSoC - Initiative for Social Change, Roma Education Fund Skopje, Roma Lawyers Association, Roma Resource Center, Romaversitas Skopje, KMOP Skopje, National Roma Centrum, REDI - Roma Entrepreneurship Development Initiative and ROMACTED Support Organization Roma Democratic Development Association “Sonce”.

The main goals of the meeting was to align the work on Roma inclusion, as well as to enhance synergies, foster coordination among the stakeholders and establish a practice of organising such meetings in every 6 months or based on the need.

ROMACTED Programme aims at building up political will and sustained policy engagement of local authorities to enhance democratic local governance and empowerment of local Roma communities.
