INSCHOOL Romania - Workshop on schools' plans and Grants

On 13 July 2018, the principals and staff members of the schools selected in INSCHOOL Romania met in order to exchange and work together on two essential topics in the pilot phase of the INSCHOOL Project.

The first priority of the workshop, organised through the kind contribution and within the premises of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Assistance Bucharest, was for school representatives to discuss together with the INSCHOOL team (Educational Advisors and Facilitators) on the revision of the Institutional Development Plans (IDP) and Operational Plans (OP) required by law for each school. The revision of the two strategic documents is done with the guidance of the INSCHOOL Team on the basis of the 4th Edition of the "Index for Inclusion: A Guide to School Development Led by Inclusive Values" (2016) by T. Booth and M. Ascow, and on an evaluation grid developped in cooperation with the Romanian Institute for Educational Sciences (ISE) and the Romanian Agency for Quality Assurance in Pre-university Education (ARACIP).

The second part of the workshop was dedicated to the understanding of requirements for the INSCHOOL Grant Applications. Grants disbursed by the INSCHOOL Joint Project of the European Union and Council of Europe will be based on the proposed Inclusive School Development Plans (replaced in the context of Romania by the IDPs and OPs) and their coherence with the strategic planning of the schools in terms of inclusiveness.
