Back INSCHOOL Project’s contribution to UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Report

Gelu Duminica – INSCHOOL Project Coordinator for Romania

As part of UNESCO’s efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goal on education (SDG4), the Global Education Monitoring Report (GEM Report) is published annually to monitor the progress made in education area and the implementation of national and international strategies to help hold relevant partners to account for their commitments.

As part of the #AllmeansALL: voices from Romania video promoting the GEM Report, the INSCHOOL project of the EU & CoE was invited to present the issues Roma children face in education, discuss the structural barriers to inclusion, but also share what is being done within the Project to foster inclusion and promote quality education for all children. Our experts, Ms Aurora Ailincai – Deputy Head of Division of the Roma and Travellers Team, Gelu Duminica – INSCHOOL Project Coordinator for Romania as well as Mr George Lili Berceanu – the Principal of Contesti Gimnazial School, along with a student from Contesti School provided insights into our efforts. See the video produced by UNESCO to learn more about our values and work.
