INSCHOOL launched in Hungary

On 26-27 September 2018, INSCHOOL ("Inclusive Schools: Making a Difference for Roma Children") was officially launched Hungary.

On 26 September, the event addressed principals and staff of the 8 selected schools in the joint project of the European Union and Council of Europe, and benefitted from the presence of Mr Ivan Sörös, Head of Department, Ministry of Human Capacities, Ms Aurora Ailincai, Head of Unit, Roma and Travellers Team of the Council of Europe and Mr Sandor Brassoi, Vice-President of the Educational Authority. They all confirmed their commitment to the project and expressed strong expectations - improving the school environement, strengthening the teachers' skills, better involving parents in order to ensure that every child is welcome in the schools and can learn in good conditions.

On 27 September, the schools' representatives worked together with the INSCHOOL facilitators and educational advisors on the methodology based on the Index for Inclusion and the concrete next steps.

Interventions in schools will start in October with the support of the INSCHOOL team.
