A two-day intensive workshop took place in Budapest on 9-10 May, facilitated by the INSCHOOL Team in Hungary and Professor Tony Booth, author of the “Index for Inclusion: A Guide to School Development Led by Inclusive Values” (T. Booth & M. Ainscow, 2016), the methodology chosen by the INSCHOOL project.

The Index for Inclusion and its concepts, application and indicators as well as inclusive values, cultures, policies and practices were discussed by principals and teaching staff from the schools selected in INSCHOOL Hungary in conjunction with representatives of the school districts, as well as representatives of the Educational Authority and civil society (Rosa Parks Foundation, Inclusive Reformed Church Project, etc.). The aim of the workshop was to analyse, with the assistance of Professor Tony Booth, the Inclusive School Development Plans devised by schools in the framework of the INSCHOOL project. The final aim is to transform schools into more inclusive educational facilities for all children, including Roma children.
