Back Call for civil society organisations: expressing interest in participating in programmes for strengthening capacities of the judiciary in Serbia

The Office for Co-operation with Civil Society of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, in co-operation with the Council of Europe Office Belgrade is launching a public call for civil society organisations to express interest in participating in programmes for strengthening capacities of the judiciary, which are implemented within the action on “Strengthening independence and accountability of the judiciary“ as a part of the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022“.

The Sector for Justice and Legal Co-operation of the Council of Europe is implementing the action on "Strengthening the independence and accountability of the judiciary" in Serbia, which lasts until May 2022. One of the objectives of the action is to provide support to the judiciary of the Republic of Serbia in capacity building in the field of ethics, integrity, prevention of undue influence and relations with traditional, as well as online/social media.

The aim of this public call is to select up to 20 civil society organisations through a public and transparent process, whose representatives will participate in capacity building programmes and contribute to the transparency and quality of these programmes, as well as to improve the dialogue between the judiciary and the civil sector, and mutual understanding of problems and priorities.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 24 June 2020.
