Quality education for all – Serbia: First expert meeting of the Curricula Working Group

One of the most important aspects of the Quality Education for All action being implemented in Serbia is the initiative to map and connect Competences for Democratic Culture with certain subjects of the national curricula. This was precisely what the 10 members of the working group discussed during their first co-ordination meeting on 12 October in Belgrade, Serbia.

The working group, comprised of experts from the Institute for Education Improvement, was tasked with the mission of mapping and connecting outcomes of selected subjects such as foreign languages, mathematics, psychology and others with those defined by the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture. They will be assisted by an international expert from Andorra, a country that has successfully conducted this process. The working group will regularly meet for workshops in accordance with the work methodology that will be developed together with the Andorran education expert.

The action Quality education for all is implemented under the joint European Union/Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022“.
