- Mr Nicolas Bizel, Head of Operations Section for Justice and Home Affairs and Public Administration Reform of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina
Several important results have been achieved, such as enhanced capacities of the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsperson and courts to prevent and combat discrimination thanks to a mechanism for gathering data collection on hate crimes and discrimination in a single database. Capacities of prison and police officers were also strengthened to adapt their working methods to European standards conducive to prisoners’ rehabilitation rather than punishment.
Participants will include representatives of the beneficiary institutions directly involved in the implementation of this joint programme of the European Union and Council of Europe, such as the Ministries of Justice at the state and entities level, the Institution of Human Rights Ombudsman, Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH and Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
The meeting will begin at 9.30am. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
