An expert of the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) will participate in a workshop of the Parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee on Electoral Reform on new voting technologies which is organised with the support of the OSCE Presence in Albania on 6 June 2018. This workshop brings together the co-chairs and members of the Ad Hoc Committee on Electoral Reform, the chair and members of the Central Election Commission, representatives of civil society organisations and international organisations present in Tirana, as well as national and international experts on new voting technologies. Participants will discuss, on the basis of the report of the Venice Commission’s expert, different options for the introduction of the new voting technologies in the Albanian electoral system.

The participation of the Venice Commission’s expert in this workshop is financed by the "Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey", a joint programme funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe, and implemented by the Council of Europe.
