HISTOLAB - Call for Tenders for the provision of a toolkit on teaching multiperspectivity and recognising manipulation of history

The Joint Project “Transnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory – HISTOLAB” is currently seeking one provider for the creation, development and evaluation of a toolkit on teaching multiperspectivity and recognising manipulation of history. The deadline for submtting the application is 21 January 2023, 23:59 (CET).

HISTOLAB embraces the need for transformation in education practices and will explore how new tools, teaching strategies and/or approaches can improve, rather than impede, progress in this field.

Many recent EU publications focus on how the spread of disinformation on online platforms affects fundamental values. The Council of Europe has also made combatting disinformation online  a primary goal.

The requested toolkit on teaching multiperspectivity and recognising manipulation of history should be used as a supportive tool by secondary schools’ teachers in highlighting how to include more legitimate perspectives when analysing certain historical events.

This tender procedure aims to  conclude a framework contract for the provision of deliverables described in the Tender File and Act of Engagement available for download below.

Deadline for Applications: 21 January 2023, 23:59 (CET)

“Transnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory – HISTOLAB” is a Joint Project of the European Union and Council of Europe aiming to bring together innovative ideas on history education. It has a budget of 1.1 M € and is implemented from May 2022 until April 2024.

The Observatory on History Teaching in Europe and HISTOLAB are complementary and connected projects that cover an extensive set of priorities centred on quality history education and the importance it yields for future generations. HISTOLAB covers the 46 member states of the Council of Europe.
