First meeting of the HISTOLAB Advisory Board

The Joint Project “Transnational History Education and Co-operation Laboratory – HISTOLAB” is taking further shape, after months of exchanges and fruitful dialogue. We are happy to announce that the HISTOLAB international core partners and members of its Advisory Board - EuroClio, The Leibniz Institute for Educational Media | Georg Eckert Institute (GEI), International Society for History Didactics (ISHD), Fédération européenne des écoles (Fede) and House of European History, met for the first time on Thursday 13 October 2022.

HISTOLAB is managed by a dedicated team under the supervision of the Observatory on History Teaching in Europe’s (OHTE) Executive Director. Decisions are taken by the Steering Committee, composed of the European Commission and the Council of Europe.

While the Steering Committee has to ensure efficiency in the decision-making process and the rapid implementation of actions, the HISTOLAB Advisory Board offers advice on any matter concerning the design and implementation of HISTOLAB’s activities.

the meeting was an occasion to share HISTOLAB’s latest developments, mainly the website, the concept of the European Innovation Days in History Education (8-10 March 2023), the HISTOLAB Awards and in the HISTOLAB Webinar Series.
