Strengthening local governance in the Eastern Partnership

In the framework of the project “Strengthening institutional framework for local governance in the six Eastern Partnership countries” (Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Belarus and Ukraine) funded by EU and CoE, two expert meetings were held:

• First Expert meeting comparative study on Inter-Municipal Cooperation (IMC) in Prague on 25-26 May 2015
• First Expert meeting comparative study on Local Finance Benchmarking (LFB) in Vienna on 27-28 May 2015.

The implementation of the Eastern Partnership PCF (Programmatic Cooperation Framework) project in the area of local democracy and local self-government during these meetings was concentrated on two main subjects: the Local Finance Benchmarking and the Inter-Municipal Cooperation in the participating countries.
