In the framework of the implementation of the project on Improving women’s access to justice in five Eastern Partnership Countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine), the Council of Europe, in partnership with the National Institute of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, has organised a regional conference on 24-25 October 2016.

The conference explored the current situation and discussed steps to integrate women’s rights, gender equality and equal access to justice in the training of legal professionals. More than 80 participants attended and represented beneficiary countries of the project, legal training institutions, as well as Council of Europe member States, civil society and other regional and international organisations.
