In 2016, the Moldovan Bar Association received expertise and capacity building to improve the clients data protection within its functioning and organisation through the  EU and Council of Europe “Support to the Moldovan Bar Association” Project.

As a direct result of the support provided, the Moldovan Bar Association successfully registered on 1 August 2017 as a personal data protection operator at the National Center for the Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova. Thus, legal services clients benefit from an enhanced protection of their personal data and all related legal guarantees.
