A round table event on presentation of Council of Europe’s comments and recommendations on the draft Code of Ethics for members of the Council on Prevention and Elimination of Discrimination and Ensuring Equality from the Republic of Moldova (Equality Council) has been held in Chisinau on 3rd of May 2017.

The event has been attended by representatives of the Equality Council, Ombudsperson Office, NGOs and civil society representatives as well as members of International Organisations in Moldova.

The active discussion held during the event, which also covered European best practices on the issue, is expected to contribute and assist the Equality Council in the process of finalisation of the draft Code of Ethics.

The activity was organised in the framework of the project “Supporting national efforts for prevention and combating discrimination in Moldova”, which is implemented under the European Union and the Council of Europe programme Partnership for Good Governance.
