Training for internet service providers of Moldova on internet and human rights

On 19 October 2016, the Council of Europe (CoE) in partnership with the Moldovan Association of ICT companies organized the training course for Internet Service Providers of Moldova on Council of Europe and European best practices on Internet and Human Rights.

The training has been delivered by the CoE experts and European Association of European Internet Services Providers Associations (EuroISPA) aiming to raise awareness for ISPs for a Code of Conduct and labelling the terms of services in respect to Human Rights.

The general objective of the event was to increase Internet service providers (ISPs)’s commitments to human rights in line with the CoE Human Rights Guidelines for ISPs and to adopt, make use of and promote the knowledge throughout their activity with Internet users.

The event has been organised within the framework of the joint CoE/EU Program “Strengthening the respect for human rights in the implementation of the Republic of Moldova's Digital Agenda”.
