Within the framework of the joint EU/CoE project “Freedom of Expression and Media Freedom in Azerbaijan”, the 2nd meeting of the Steering Committee took place on 5 May 2017 in Baku.

15 members of the Steering Committee, including the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Justice, Ombudsman Office, the Ministry of Transport, Communication an High Technologies, Baku State University, Azerbaijani Press Council, independent media experts participated in the meeting. The Steering Committee discussed progress and achievements in project implementation. The project team presented the draft workplan for the remaining part of 2017 and the project stakeholders gave their feedback and approval to it.
