Human rights training in Ukraine

A consultant group of academics and acting judges has been established to design a distance learning course for Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP) in Ukraine on  “Evidence and proof”. The course will contain lectures, presentations, case-studies and visual materials.

Other HELP distance learning courses: “Introduction to the European Convention on Human Rights”; “Admissibility criteria for applications to the European Court for Human Rights”; “Pre-trial investigation in the light of the European Convention on Human Rights” and “Deliberate ill-treatment in the light of the European Convention on Human Rights” will also be made available for representatives of the Ukrainian legal community.

These training courses are part of the Joint Project between the European Union and the Council of Europe “Strengthening the Implementation of the European Human Rights Standards in Ukraine”. This project is part of the Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus, funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe.
