Human rights study visit of Georgian judges

On 14-16 September, a delegation of Georgian judges will participate in a study visit to the Council of Europe including the European Court of Human Rights.

This study visit aims to increase the judges' awareness of the European Convention of Human Rights standards and their application. It will also offer the Georgian judges an opportunity to discuss recent developments in the case law of the European Court of Human Rights as well as the functioning of Council of Europe bodies.

This event is organised under the Joint Project ‘Application of the European Convention on Human Rights and harmonisation of national legislation and judicial practice in line with European Standards in Georgia’ which is funded by European Union and the Council of Europe through the Programmatic Cooperation Framework for Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Belarus.
