As part of its ethics curricula development assistance to the Azerbaijani Civil Service Commission, the Council of Europe held a two-day Workshop on Ethics issues 22-23 September 2015 in Baku. The Workshop gathered 25 representatives from a wide spectrum of Azerbaijani public institutions. During the first day of the Workshop trainers and participants discussed basic ethics concepts, common approaches to addressing ethics issues, and issues identified as relevant for Azerbaijan. Best methods of addressing local needs were considered during the second day of the Workshop. In the forthcoming months the Project will develop recommendations for enhancing the existing ethics training curricula of the Civil Service Commission pursuant to input received during the Workshop.
