Lawyers of the ombudsperson institution held a public training on discrimination

Lawyers of the institution of Ombudsman for Human Rights of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who successfully completed a training for trainiers, held a training on discrimination for representatives of public institutions and non-governmental organisations in Banja Luka on 13 November 2017. The aim of the training was to enable participants to recognise discrimination, act preventively and establish direct cooperation with the Institution of Ombudsman for Human Rights.

The training has been supported within the action implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina: “Strengthening the human rights ombudsman to fight discrimination” – a part of the joint programme between the European Union and the Council of Europe “Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey”, as a three-year programme (May 2016 – May 2019), focusing on three themes: ensuring justice, fighting corruption, economic crime and organised crime, as well as combating discrimination and protecting the rights of vulnerable groups.
