Presentation of the Progress Review Methodology of the Justice Sector Reforms Implementation

Presentation of the Progress Review Methodology of the Justice Sector Reforms Implementation developed within the framework of the EU/CoE joint project “Consolidation of Justice Sector Policy Development in Ukraine”, was held on 29 November 2016 in Kyiv.

Representatives of the Council of Europe, Delegation of the EU to Ukraine, Presidential Administration, Ministry of Justice, judiciary, law enforcement agencies, other actors of the justice sector, civil society and international initiatives participated in the event.

Development of the Progress Review Methodology as a tool for reviewing, measuring the progress and achievements of the justice sector reform in its dynamics has been launched in February 2016.

In the process of its development the team of CoE international consultants conducted series of Reference Group meetings as well as focus group meetings and expert missions to discuss the draft Progress Review Methodology with broad number of justice sector stakeholders and to ensure holistic approach in the process of its development.

The proposed Methodology is to be considered a living tool which can be directly applied as a working document by the Justice Reform Council, relevant justice sector institutions, civil society organisations and international initiatives.
