Mr. Markus Jaeger, the Deputy Special Advisor to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe for Ukraine held a meeting with Ms. Natalia Sevostianova, the First Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine on 13 August 2015.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Anton Yanchuk, the Deputy Minister of Justice for European integration, Ms. Olena Lytvynenko, Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Ukraine and Ms. Olena Trapeznikova, Senior Project Officer of the EU/CoE joint Project “Consolidation of Justice Sector Policy Development in Ukraine”.

During the meeting strategic areas of activities in the process of implementation of the Justice Sector Reform Strategy for 2015 – 2020 approved by the Presidential Decree of May 20 2015 and compliance with Council of Europe standards during the implementation of reforms were discussed.

The parties have agreed on specific activities for cooperation in the framework of the EU/CoE joint Project “Consolidation of Justice Sector Policy Development in Ukraine” and identified the authorized persons that will communicate with the Project to provide information on the implementation of the Strategy and on the progress of the Action Plan implementation.
