A three day Training-of-Trainers on the Choice of Methodologies for Development and Teaching of Curricula of Special Training of Candidate Judges

A three day training on “The Choice of Methodologies for Development and Teaching of Curricula of Special Training of Candidate Judges” for national trainers who will subsequently deliver training to candidate judges, organized by the National School of Judges of Ukraine in cooperation with the EU/CoE joint Project “Consolidation of Justice Sector Policy Development in Ukraine” and the EU Project “Support to Justice Sector Reform in Ukraine” took place on 28-30 March 2016 in Kyiv.

Some 32 participants got acquainted with best teaching methodologies and practices presented by the experts from Sweden, Poland, Greece and Spain and trained on how to choose the most effective method that would help to achieve certain educational purposes; how to develop practical tasks (situational tasks / plots) for different purposes; how to teach practical tasks (methods of teaching); how to apply a best method, at what stage of the class; how to select and prepare material in accordance with concrete method (including case-method and role play); what methods are used to verify if the objectives of the training have been achieved.

HELP Program– Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals – as a component of candidate judges training curriculum was also presented to participants.
