Representatives from the Council of Europe Office in Georgia and the Delegation of the European Union to Georgia co-hosted a meeting with Georgian Young European Ambassadors (YEAs). These YEAs had recently completed a series of online and in-person regional training sessions on promoting equality and non-discrimination. Equality Ambassadors, representing the Council of Europe project “Enhancing Equality and Non-Discrimination in Georgia” also participated to the meeting.
The YEAs and Equality Ambassadors praised the joint work of the Council of Europe and the European Union in the country and emphasised the importance of raising awareness about the importance and benefits of promoting tolerance, diversity, and inclusiveness among the general public and especially the youth. Furthermore, they expressed strong interest in further enhancing their capacities and promoting equality and non-discrimination topics through their work and activities.
