Back Second coordination meeting

The participating countries in the pilot project « Travel Pass to Democracy: Supporting teachers in preparing students to active citizenship » held their second coordination meeting in Budapest from 5 to 8 November 2013.

Three months after their first meeting in Dubrovnik, the aim of the partner countries was to assess the progress in the implementation of the project.

They discussed, inter alia, the dissemination, translation and promotion of the booklet on the situation of citizenship and human rights education in their respective contexts. Also on the agenda was the draft evaluation report on their respective training days which focused on respect and the protection of human dignity, children's rights and related national topics. Finally, the overall evaluation of the results and outputs and the possible cooperation of the partner countries in the future were addressed.

This was the first opportunity for the partner countries to watch a draft of the documentary on the role of schools in the development of the personality and the attitudes of the students. The viewing was followed by an intense exchange of views on the structure of the documentary and the coherence of the messages.

The participating countries felt that the pilot project was a very useful and enriching experience and agreed to continue their cooperation in following up the dissemination, use and further development of the project outputs.
