The promotion and appreciation of "learning mobility" has long been guaranteeing a sustainable youth policy for the European Commission. However, what is missing Europe-wide is the close interaction between research, practice and policy. Study on the Europeanization of youth policies

In the framework of the French National Institute of Youth and Community Education (INJEP) and the French Ministry of sports, youth, third-sector activities and community education a study on the Europeanization of youth policies, regarding the public action to support youth mobility will be realized. They are trying to identify the role of European dynamics in the elaboration and implementation of youth policies at national, regional and local level. In this framework INJEP is collecting information about the platform on Learning Mobility and cooperating with the Advisory Council on youth of the Council of Europe on the mobility issue. EPLM Steering Group Meeting

From November 12th to November 13th the next steering group meeting will take place in Bonn, Germany. The focus of the meeting is on the future development of the network and on the transfer of coordination to a host for the year 2014.

In 2012, the ERASMUS programme celebrated its 25th anniversary. Position paper: The Social Inclusion Challenge: 10 opportunities for EVS 2014-2020

In early July, the Association of Voluntary Service Organisations (AVSO) published the position paper "10 opportunities for EVS 2014-2020". With this paper the European advocacy of voluntary service organizations aims to focus the new EU program Erasmus more on young people with fewer opportunities. New Ray analysis on learning in YIA 2012 are published

The RAY (Research-based Analysis and Monitoring of Youth in Action) surveys and studies are designed to investigate a number of relevant themes: the impact of the programme's activities on participants, especially with respect to their participation in public life as well as their educational and occupational pathways; the learning processes of all those involved in funded projects; the profiles of those young people and youth leaders/workers involved in the project, with a special focus on their socio-economic, cultural and educational backgrounds; and the accessibility to the programme's activities, in particular for young people with fewer opportunities. UN World Youth Report

The International Youth Day 2013 was celebrated under the theme ‘Youth Migration: Moving Development Forward.'
