Results discussed at Final Conference of the Joint Programme “Human Rights and Democracy in Action”

What was the impact of the projects supported by the 4th cycle of the Joint Programme “Human Rights and Democracy in Action”? More than 60 participants including partners, teachers and students discussed the results of the projects during a conference that took place on 6 December 2017 in Strasbourg.

The four projects involved 20 partners from 17 countries. In total, more than 3000 people were involved including approx. 1300 teachers and 1400 students. Two projects built on previous outcomes of the Joint Programme, the other two projects supported the implementation of the Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture.

In particular, the project “Instruments for implementation of the Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture” promoted a video competition for students. The “best video” in each participating country was screened and presented by the students who produced them.
